Last year, the reconstruction of several prefabricated houses in the former AVIA housing estate was completed. The results can be seen in many houses and are due to many SVJ committees. Currently, 14 of the 75 entrances are insulated, which is not much. “However, the reconstruction will continue this year and we can expect another 10-15 entrances, which will be dressed in a new coat,” says Jan Mikulecký, representative of Letňany. The rampart in Malkovského Street is awaiting further renovation
The noise barrier between Malkovského and Veselská and Tupolevova streets, respectively, is approximately five hundred meters long, was built together with the construction of the Avia II housing estate in 1985, a year later it was planted with trees and shrubs. Jan Mikulecký: Renovation of houses in the housing estate is in full swing
During the holidays, scaffolding appeared at a number of prefabricated houses in the former AVIA housing estate. “The houses in the whole Kuželova street will be completely new, Ivančická and Krausova will be completed soon, other insulated entrances will be added in Fryčovická, Malkovského, Nýdecká and other Letňany streets,” assumes Jan Mikulecký, Letňany representative. In the coming months, almost 20 newly renovated entrances should be added. It is mostly thermal insulation, but in some entrances the residents will also have a new elevator. Jan Mikulecký organizes a seminar on revitalization for SVJ
A seminar on the revitalization of prefabricated houses took place on Wednesday 22/2. Experienced members of SVJ committees acquainted their colleagues with the already completed reconstructions of houses. Jan Mikulecký, the councilor for the regeneration of the housing estate, confirmed that the town hall supports the renovation of houses in the entire Letňany housing estate. Jan Mikulecký: The expansion of Tesco will not affect the environment
In the open space between the Kika department store and Tupolevova Street, the construction of a car showroom and McDonald’s restaurant will begin in the coming months. According to the statement of the Department of Environmental Protection of the City of Prague, the construction will not significantly affect the environment in Letňany if the measures proposed by the investor are implemented.
