Councilor Jan Mikulecký organized a meeting in April 2012 with representatives of SVJ Místecká 567-569, where parking was one of the topics. Representatives of SVJ expressed support for one of the variants that change the axis of the parking lot, more here. The change of the axis was only conditionally approved by the Police of the Czech Republic, and as part of other project works, trips to Místecká Street were assessed in detail. The police of the Czech Republic issued a final opinion that the axis of the car park in front of the house must be preserved. Continue reading “Parking at Místecká 567-569”
The lenses started. Work is in full swing and everyone in the housing estate may feel certain limitations. Especially drivers, for whom several streets will be temporarily closed due to the construction of new parking spaces and a new surface. However, the Skanska construction company must respect a number of conditions and must not close all roads at once. For the entire period of implementation will still be available min. 70 parking spaces in Jančova, Ivančická or Místecká streets (part of the affected area is only Místecká 567-569 including the car park). Being an environmental councilor is a very ungrateful role. You are either the enemy of all trees, who wants to cut everything down and destroy everything, or an eco-terrorist protecting every nettle. There is nothing in between. Whatever you do, everything is wrong. If you protect the greenery, you are wondering why you are hindering the development of the village and you are marked as a backslider and a green lunatic. If you cut down even one tree, you immediately face the opinion that this tree has stood there for 50 years and all our children and their parents and parents have climbed it … No explanation about the need to restore greenery, about the perspective of trees. Simply no argument is acceptable. If you want to hit a dog, you will always find a stick. Continue reading “How I didn’t want to cut down maples”
Letňanské lentilky have been prepared from the very beginning with the great support of the inhabitants of the housing estate. Since the first presentation in September 2011, the project has been under public discussion and people can directly influence the appearance of their surroundings. Kuželova Street, Místecká or Malkovského are arranged within Lentilek as their inhabitants wished. Of course, the much-discussed front gardens remain and will be full of flowers and new shrubs. Letňany lentils are not an exceptional building that differs from others. Some activities go slower, others faster. In Ivančická we discovered panels under the grass. Next to Místecká 448, where a new car park is already open, there were again problems with sewerage. These are standard unpredictable issues that are addressed on every construction site. Letňany lentils affect the lives of thousands of people in the housing estate and are not an exceptional building that differs from similar buildings in residential areas. Some activities go slower, others faster. In Ivančická we discovered panels under the grass. Next to Místecká 448, where a new car park is already open, there were again problems with sewerage. These are standard unpredictable issues that are addressed on every construction site. The situation changes every day. Continue reading “Current schedule of Lentilky”
The car park in front of Místecká 567 – 569 will be closed from 21/7. The entire crossroads Místecká x Jančova x Jablunkovská will be impassable for several weeks. Before closing the whole area, Jančova Street will be opened with dozens of new parking spaces. Drivers can park their cars in newly created places.
Kuželova Street will also be closed from 21/7. Entry will be allowed only to construction machinery and cars of the construction contractor. We apologize to the drivers for the traffic restrictions.
Mr. Josef Třešňák lived in a family house on the corner of Jančová and Místecká streets for over 40 years. An experienced metalworker has been retired for several years, and therefore he had the opportunity to monitor the construction of Letňany lentils every day. In early June, when it was very hot, he helped builders adhere to their drinking regime. Mr. Třešňák, thank you for supporting the Lentils.
Construction is still in full swing to be completed in the fall. A rocking lantern was opened behind the house in Ivančická Street. Parking in the part of Jančová street is available, work is being done on the new square near Žabka. Kuželova Street and part of Malkovského in the courtyard with the house Místecká 448 – 453 have disappeared. The pyramid is already standing, but a fence will still be built, so it is not yet open to children. Work is also continuing on the sports lentil in Místecká, where the basics can already be seen. As part of the Letňanská lentilka project, traffic in the housing estate will also change significantly. New parking spaces have been added for drivers and road surfaces have changed. Some crossings have been modified to protect pedestrians. Traffic calming is achieved by retarders and other deceleration elements. The Lentilek housing estate is now ZONE 30. What does this mean for drivers? Continue reading “The housing estate will be ZONE 30”
